This shoot was made for the romantics, soft lace paired with bold pops of colour, bohemian meets modern. For the bride who wants traditions to reflect throughout the day, whilst letting her personality shine.
MATHESON AND ME
Australian label Matheson and Me took centre stage through this shoot, showcasing gowns crafted with cutting edge fabrications and embellished with delicate finishes, letting femininity and strength define. All the pieces worn in this shoot are designed and created in Australia, keeping an ethical philosophy firmly grounded in the business.
Matheson and Me is an Australian made label that is specifically created for the “cool bride” who is looking for the romance of being a bride but doesn’t want to be restricted by the restraints of classical bridal styling” says the owner and creator of the brand Diane.
The shoot created an air of relaxed romance, almost an “elopement”, the focus on the couple together with small details bringing the day to perfection.
Carl Noonan created the groom’s INCARNATE and HEART OF GOLD wedding bands with an emphasis on clean, masculine lines. Titanium was the feature, lightweight yet more durable than traditional metals. Gold was interwoven into the rings, showcasing classic yet modern pieces designed to wear for eternity. The collection is representation of the merging of the human and the Divine – Carl’s reflection on the holy mystery of marriage as two lives come together in the presence of Love, symbolised in the embrace of the two metals.
HAIR + MAKEUP ARTIST
Emma McGill created a fresh, elegant look for hair and makeup without looking fussy or too formal. Soft peaches and nudes complemented the bohemian lace of the gown ARIZONA, moving later towards a red lip giving a bold, modern elegance to the intricacy of the PIPER gown, a constructed bodice with crystal beading.
Kim from Cronulla Florist chose striking red blooms paired with peach tones, and elements of Australian natives were reflected in the bridal bouquet by incorporating Australian tree fern and eucalyptus. The bouquet smelt divine and added a sweetness to the day, enhancing rather than overwhelming the free spirited, relaxed bridal feel of the shoot.
